USA is the only country in world (With 2 others) that only use non-metric units
USA is the only country in world that use temperature fahrenheit

IMO farenheit temperature is wayyy better than celsius. Celsius is too broad when covering temperatures, where as with the farenhait system, you can pinpoint the exact type of temperature you can expect to feel outside. Think about it, Celsius in all four seasons will only cover a spectrum of maybe 0-28 degrees, where as farenheit would cover 0-100, much better and more exact IMO.

My gosh this must be the 100th post this guy has done about the metric system.

Oh wait, that's "100" posts using the imperial system, I guess that would be 167 posts using the metric system.

I never understood why the USA has to be different and thus complicated things. Even all of Europe has banded together to use the same currency. Why cant we use Metric? Dumb.

What's the difference between 99 and 100 F? I hate it when the record is 100 but the official high is only 99--another reason Fahrenheit creates inaccurate records. Also the negative sign in Celsius always means below freezing while in Fahrenheit you have to know that freezing is 32 and below. Last night in Houston it was 8 °C on my car's thermometer--very close to freezing. It is much more intuitive for Houstonians who are not used to sub-freezing temperatures for days at a time.

Celsius is based on the temperature of water which makes up the atmosphere. Besides weather, it is also better suited to cooking since most food is full of water. To freeze something, initially it must be slightly below 0 °C and maintained at or below 0 °C for water. To boil something it must come up to 100 °C for water. 0-100 is all you need to know in cooking.

The plutocrats are destroying the economic recovery with their non-conforming Colonial-sized products. Also it is eating into our scientific competitiveness--something necessary in our 21st Century economy. Why aren't the technological advancements created in America instead of Asia? Because our students don't know/aren't fluent in the lingua franca of Science, SI metric.

…unless Obama is elected! This is one of the changes he's been talking about for the last couple of years.

If that is true, then it's another reason for me not to vote for him.

Well you think that because you are used and born to the fahrenheit scale.
Actually Celsius is much easier, because 0 C is freezing and 100 F is boiling point, while 32 F is freezing and 212 F is boiling. Why is it 32 F and not for example 30? Why is it 212 and not 200 for example? It's hard to know it.
If Fahrenheit was better, then all other countries would use it.
You know that 0 - 10 C is chilly, 10 - 20 mild, 20+ warm, 30+ hot.
