I was about to make a similar comment.

The speed limit on the beltway (Perimeter) around Atlanta is 55mph. Last year they did some radar testing and found the "average" speed to be around 74mph with the average distance between each car about 3-4 feet, and around 25% of the people visibly talking on cell phones while driving this way.

Oh yeah. Fun town to drive in.

Usually faster, but there's a large number of ppl who drive the speed limit or below. I get very angry at these people. I used to drive 15-20 miles over the speed limit, but i've gotten 4 speeding tickets in the past year. So now I drive no more than 10 miles over the speed limit.

Speed limit is 50 in NYC and 55 on Long island, on the highways. People usually go at least 65, 70. You can usually tell who is an out-of-area driver based on how slow they're going. You get the confirmation when you're right by them and see their license plate
