I like the 4 way setup better, Germany does it, the Netherlands doesn't from what I remember.

I LIKE the 4-way and wish the U.S. had it, because it keeps people from cheating and it helps people who aren't paying close attention. As someone who is a little "jumpy" to begin with, a red light that goes straight to green can sort of get to me when I'm really edgy. Once, when I was 16, a guy in the left turn lane was looking at me for some reason and I was really edgy, so when the light went from red to green (not my light, btw), I hit the gas and sped off......even though the only green light was the left turn lane. So I basically ran a red light because I was anticipating the green light so badly.
