I don't hate any accent, but I don't like:
1. Ozark redneck accent
2. British accent (By watching TV, you would think there's more british people in the US than black and hispanic)
I dont dislike any accent really but if I had to pick any accent I would have to say that whiney long southern drawl. I was in Target recently and this woman was carrying on this conversating in a loud long peircing southern drawl. I had to bolt outta there cause it was so annoying
Like: Georgia I guess
Dislike: Maybe none, possibly Queens accent (Olympic athlete Bonnie Blair had an accent I found annoying, but I can't figure out what it is.)
Some women (especially young and under 40) aged women in the South speak with this really "whiny" dialect. Examples : The Dixie Chicks.
There are lots of ways to speak "Southern", I'm just referring to this Texas-esque "twang"-it kind of grates on me, don't know why. What accents do you like and dislike?
I am attracted to that "Louisianna accent". I really don't dislike any accents....unless it comes with an attitude...then it would get on my nerves for sure.
Any Southern, Texan, Appalachian accent is dreadful, annoying and incomprehensible to me. The most educated individual comes across ignorant.
I can tolerate the NY/NJ accent. Sounds tough and American.
Sort of like the Boston/New England accent.
Pittsburgh accent is rather peculiar. As is the Minnesota/Fargo one. Every sentence sounds like a question.
I like the Canadian accents especially the French-Canadian.
Foreign accents in general I find pleasing. I suppose because of the novelty of them. The European, African, and South American ones are the best.
Not a fan of the Asian accents - almost as grating as the Southern!
