Money is the root of all evil, not pride. After viewing the maps I can see why there are so many brain damaged mental cases living in and around Kansas City.
..4 of the 7 major vices, and the South ranked among the national leaders in these 4 categories...while the Northeast led the way in greed; some sterotypes hold true, while some don't....
The expression " lies, damn lies, and statistics" comes to mind here. I'm pretty convinced that anyone could twist any group of stats to prove any hypothesis, no matter how outrageous it is....

The actual expression is "the love of money is..." Money itself can be a beneficial tool.
Also the map was not intended as entirely serious. The K-State gang had a methodology, but they were still partly just clowning around.
^^^Correction noted about the "love of money". Been a while since I had to quote it.
I find the map to be accurate at least where the high rates of sloth, wrath and envy are concerned. Kansas City is filled with such people. And the concentration of greedy people in southern New England into areas of the Mid Atlantic is also very accurate. I know because I've lived in both areas.
I don't see any kind of Disclaimer on the map that the study is tongue in cheek. They claim it is based upon certain stat's they've used in determining certain character flaws of people in a given area or region. Seems pretty accurate.

Hmm. I read this in the Las Vegas Sun months ago and I thought it said it wasn't a 100% serious, but I guess I was wrong. They do seem to indicate they did it "for fun" but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not serious.
