Broughton ave is a very nice street.

Redding, California:

Founded 1872;
Incorporated 1887;

It was a creation of the Central Pacific RR, and was named after a railroad land agent. The area was previously called Poverty Flats, but they changed it. They had it named right the first time.

What is now Jersey City began as Pavonia in 1633. In 1820 the Town of Jersey was incorporated with the merger of several lesser towns. In the 1870s, Hudson City, Bergen City, and Greenville Twp merged with Jersey City, setting its current city limits.

In 1542 the Los Angeles region was visited by Captain Juan Cabrillo of Spain. The El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora de los Angeles de Porciuncula was founded in 1777 by Spain. But it wasn't until 1850 before Los Angeles was incorporated as an American city.
