I'll help with the normal responses and save some people the trouble of posting.

"I can't believe (insert state here) is so low/high because (insert reason that leaves out any real point) (add more useless rambling and opinion that doesn't change anything yet act like it does here)"

"Where is your source/link?"

"What about the rest of the states?"

"GDP isn't the best/a good way to measure wealth because (insert very debatable reason)"

I think I touched the major usual responses.

I didnt say your numbers are wrong-only that the official US Govt stat doesnt come out until Nov 18.

But since you mentioned it, your GDP amounts for CA, TX and NY seem incredibly optimistic.

That list doesn't really exactly show how rich the states are.
It's from most populous to least populous pretty much, so the numbers go accordingly.

Wouldn't it be strange to call VT the poorest state?
~

You should go by average/median household income and compile a list, though It's been done plenty of times before.

Not really the "richest" if you are talking about how much money the average person has - those states are Maryland, Connecticut, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
