Hi- I am looking into relocating to GA. I have no family or friends that live in the state. I have been doing some research on my own, but I also wanted to reach out and possibly get thoughts from people that live in GA or have lived there. I currently live in a suburb of Philadelphia and would like to move to a suburb of Atlanta. I have six children and I would like to find a district that is well rounded, diverse and has a easy transition from one school to another. (2 entering high school, 1 in middle and 3 in elementary) I currently work in Finance (14 years of experience) but am finishing a degree in Psychology. I currently own a home and am not sure if I would like to sell it yet, so for now I am looking to rent a home. The area’s that I did some search on are DeKalb County, Fulton County, Fayette County and Cobb County. They seem to be area’s that are outside the city but also still close to the city. If anyone can give me some tips or webpage’s that I can do further research, it truly will be greatly appreciated.

If you could give a price range that would be helpful.

In general the schools in Cobb County will probably have more of what you would prefer and housing options would be more plentiful, jmo.
Several posters have said that the Fayette County schools are good. North Fulton County schools are often recommended. DeKalb County is in transition.
