What are the downsides of this community? For those who live there, any regrets? We are tryng to make a decision on moving there. Can it really be that good?

As part of the process of deciding, be sure to look at property taxes there and compare to the other Sun City in Hall county(I think).

We have lived in Sun City Peachtree for over two years. We are satisfied with the community.

Approximately 400 homes have been sold at this point and preparation underway for another 150 homes.

The best thing to do is stay in the community for a few days and get a feel for the location and people. This can be arranged through the Sales center.

Default Sun City - The life

Sun City is a great place, you can be as active or inactive as you please.

There are numerous activities and clubs, just about any thing one could be interested in.

The community is beautiful, well maintained.

Taxes and ad valorem taxes depend on the county, we have two in Sun City
Spading and Henry. Also depending on age you may be entitled to tax breaks.

I agree with a previous post come visit stay a while you will love it.

Default come visit and do some of the activities

You should plan a visit as suggested with the sales center. Visit the club house and meet some of the people who live here. The staff at the club house with few exceptions live here.

Do check out the taxes with the county. They may or may not be high for you depending on where you are moving from. I will say we have wonderful neighbors in all the POD's.

My husband and I continue to consider SC Peachtree although we are concerned about it's rural location. We've lived in an Active Adult Community that was in a rural area and the commercial developments promised never happened.

How are the medical services in the area?
Is any commercial coming to Jordan Hill Road?

We've visited and seen Griffin and McDonough. However a two day getaway doesn't give you a real feel of the surrounding community. Comments appreciated.

Would love to here from current residents of Sun City Peachtree.

I have considered several 55+ communities. I like the idea of no children running around and teenagers. However, my concern is resale of the place if that were to become necessary. Your potential buyer population is limited. Or, suppose you have a grandchild that winds up needing to live with you for whatever reason; rules say no. Too many limitations for my taste but I DO NOT judge others who decide that is the best for them. I would not want my widow having to be stuck some place because she could not sell the place. Good luck to you.

Hi
I would be moving to a place like this to get away from children and young adults but to come and visit for a week.

That sounds great

My sister is planning on buying a home there in the very near future. It is a beautiful area and if I didn't have a grandbaby close by, I would definitely plan on moving there.

Don't have to worry about that! There are many of us out here who are 45-54 waiting to make the notch age to buy
Thanks to the lovely world of Freddie Mac we are waiting to give our homes away (can't sell them anymore) and move to gated and secure communities.

Resale limitations? Only if you buy a middle class home anymore just about anywhere Del Webb? Well the one in Hall County stays sold out.
