PolitiFact Georgia | Georgia roads are among America's best, state officials say

They don't hand out a "True" rating for free, BTW.

Georgia does have good roads. You can often tell a distinct difference when you cross state lines.

Yea, agreed, good news.

I think most of GA's roads are better than what I have seen in most of the country.

The rural highways and roads yeah, but the interstates like the concrete sections (lol is this the USSR?) of I-85, I-75, and I-20 (in Atlanta) are not what I'd consider the best or even remotely smooth.

I traveled throughout MS, TN, AR, LA, TX, OK, MO, NC, SC, GA, FL, and AL.

To let you know, I never drove on rural or two-lane roads in either TN or GA so I'm judging based on the interstates.

I think GA has the second best roads after TN. I-40 throughout TN from Memphis to NC state line was very smooth and well-maintained.

Interstates in GA are overall smooth and well-maintained except for some parts of interstates in Atlanta.

Georgia has some of the best back roads. Some roads are terrible in the cities.
