What can you tell me about it? Wife is going to stay with my folks in Murrayville she got a job in Habersham county and we want to be in between them and her work so Cleveland fits that bill. I do know its an up and coming town somewhat. New WalMart,Newer Ingles etc.

My sister and her husband just moved there and they love it! It's a small town but right on the fringe of the major tourist areas (Helen, etc) and gets terribly busy during the tourist seasons. I've not heard anything bad about it. The schools are fairly good and home prices aren't astronomical. There's a new Walmart and the Ingles is a very nice store, my sister tells me. Lots of neat small shops and restaurants. Great Amish bakery. Babyland General Hospital. Truett-McConnell College.

I hope this is on topic. I never lived in Cleveland, but I stayed in the NE Georgia mountains for a while and traveled through Cleveland, Helen, Murrayville, Dahlonega, and other small mountain towns. I spent a week in Hiawassee which, although it's gorgeous, was about 5 days too long.

If someone is used to living in a small, rural setting, then any of these towns might be a great place to settle down. You can't judge a place after a week's vacation. People make the same mistake moving to Florida. Just because an area looks great and is lots of fun when you're away from home, it doesn't mean you'll be happy living there. So wherever you move, make sure the general lifestyle and year round climate appeals to you, not just the scenery or the tourist attractions.
