Well, I would assume that since Savannah would be the obvious choice out of those cities as far as urban core goes,I would think that the OP left Savannah out on purpose, sort of like saying other than Savannah, like posters say other than Atlanta on some threads.

They all have the potential for a successful urban renewal. However,at the moment Columbus is leading the pack in that category.

I think Macon has the most potential. It's core seems more urban than Augusta and Columbus.

I think that Augusta has the largest urban core out of Macon and Savannah. I think Macon has the densest downtown of the two. Augusta feels more urban,but not really the densest.Columbus feels somewhat suburban or small town like. As for architicture, I think Augusta definately wins. It has the most variation of building and building styles. Macon is next.Columbus is last, too much brick,not much variation. I would still say macon or augusta would have the most successful urban renewal.
