Boy, that's a dumb list.

It just goes to show you that raw statistics, without proper filtering or the wrong filters, can be used to prove just about anything.

You need to realize that this article was provided by a company that SELLS home security systems. In this case it looks like they're trying to strike fear into the hearts of people living in small town America.

Swainsboro the 3rd most dangerous city in Georgia. Eastman more dangerous than Macon. Americus more dangerous than East Point?

Actually, that list isn't as far fetched as some of you think it is. A lot of these small towns do have serious issues with crime. I think a lot people tend to have a false sense of security when it comes to many of the small South Georgia cities. While they may not have the murders and high profile crimes that we have here in Metro Atlanta, they still have more than their fair share of robberies and property crimes. Many of these towns, especially outside of Metro Atlanta have very depressed economies with a lack of decent paying jobs. When folks get desperate, they turn to crime in order to eat!!!

I'm surprised that Fitzgerald didn't make the list. If your house hasn't been broken into, you're not part of the in crowd!!!
