My family is going on a business trip with my husband to Warner Robins in a couple of weeks. I have a 7 yr. old and a 3 yr. old that will be coming with us. I would like to know of any nice places to take them during the days like museums, play areas, parks, or malls. I am willing to drive to Macon during the day if there are things that they would enjoy there. I'd also appreciate any good recommendations for restaurants (especially kids eat free deals!). Thanks for any help!

They would love "Monkey Joe`s" and "DJ`s Galaxy Quest". Also, a good place to take kids to eat is "Stevie B`s Pizza", but there are many restaurants so you wont have trouble finding anything. The museum of Aviation is cool and my kids like to go to Lane`s packing to eat and play........

If you could give me a date that would be great, if its in late March it will be just in time for the famous, highly awarded International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon. There is also the Children's Museum which is located in Downtown Macon, along with the riverwalk which features parks, and playgrounds in Downtown Macon at the river. You could also take them to the dollar movie down in Warner Robins, great deal, I go there all of the time.

Monkey Joes on Russell Pkwy is fun and the hair place Sweet and Sassy is cute to get kids haircuts on Russell Pkwy. There are many dance and karate and gymnastic academies too that sometimes have day programs. WR is a friendly area so many people will help you out if you ask them. We live in Macon (for now) and there are parks, the Cherry Blossom Festival is coming soon, and Kangaroo Bobs, bowling, to check out too.

The Children's Museum in Macon is having a Grand Re-opening on March 7 (First Friday) and March 8 with free admission both days. They will be open on Saturdays only in March with increased hours the following months.

The Sports Hall of Fame and Music Hall of Fame are close by in the Museum District. Both have a small kids area...the Music Hall of Fame is a little better/more stuff.

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. We are really looking forward to our trip. I tried to find more information about the children's museum in Macon, but I can't find a website. Does anyone have a link or at least an address so that we can find it? I think that would be a nice outing for us on Friday, March 7. Thanks again!
