I saw where the Wilderness Outdoor Theater in Trenton opens in April. It sounds great! Anybody been? Is it family oriented - as in not more unchaperoned teens than anything else?

Hate to show my ignorance in front of all of GA.....but is this a drive-in move theater? If so, that sure would be great. We love going to those (with our children of course).

Yep! Check it out! www.wildernessoutdoortheater.com

It seems like it would be a lot of fun! It's apparently a drive in theater, but they have a huge area where you can get out and have a picnic etc...while you watch the movie!

Hello all and God bless!! My family has been to the wilderness theatre 3 times. We stay at the Lookout Mtn KOA right next to it. The campground has RV sites, cabins, game room, and a pool. The campground is 1st class. You can check out what is playing on the now 2 screens by going to Search Results for "wildernesstheatre.com". The drive in has spared no expense in providing an fantastic experience. Bring a frisbee and other items to play in the huge field behind the projector. You can watch from your car, listening to the movie on your car stereo, listen on the outdoor surround sound speakers, or bring your own jambox to listen on the hill.
The concession stand is clean and the staff is friendly. They handed out free glow necklaceses to our children last time we went. The food is reasonably priced, unlike your local theatre. Good variety: from funnel cakes to popcorn.
Nearby attractions: Lake Winnie amusement park, cloudland canyon state park, and downtown Chattanooga. All within 20 min away.
Don't miss it!!
The Smith family of 7. On our top ten list.

Talking Wilderness Theater - Trenton experience

Wilderness Theater is a fantastic place. I have been numerous times with my family. It is very clean (both snack shop AND BATHROOMS). It has a family atmosphere. Not a lot of people just roaming around. Before the movie, there is usually some frisbees (they often give them out free as you come in) being thrown. We always have a good time when we go and you can't beat the price.
