The more purple Georgia becomes the less likely it will be removed. Look at CA, NY and IL.

He means the State is politically trending from red to blue, so were considered 'purple' by many pundits.

The Atlanta metro area represents about 2/3 of GA’s population, and now there are Democrat Members of Congress representing districts which were reliably Republican for many years.
I’d love nothing better than to have no income tax and for the state to earn fees in other ways.

Deal could have done this by taking the obamcare money for medicaid & by raising the cigarette tax $2 a pack. this would have offset the income tax cut.
Now we would be better off investing in research universities as this is what will continue to draw jobs into the Atlanta Metro area.
