Diesel is still around $2 a gallon.
I agree that prices should be closer to around $1.25, but that's not the case for most non-warehouse club stations. They're all a solid 25 - 50 cents higher and have been for athe past several weeks.

No offense, but when I posted this I wasn’t guessing - I used Gasbuddy to confirm. Perhaps ATL proper is more expensive?

I did as well.

The prices I'm sharing are those in/around Newnan, and down the I-85 corridor into Columbus.

Costco / BJ's / Sam's Club are $1.35, but the other stations on average are between $1.60 and $1.80. They've been stuck in that range too after crawling down from between the $2.10 and $2.20 following the "price collapse."

And these prices are especially frustrating when I hear about prices on average back home in Michigan ranging between $0.90 and $1.10, despite them also having amongst of the highest gas tax in the country.

EDIT: Perhaps the only logical explanation, besides blatant price gouging, is that most Georgia stations have switched over to the Summer blend, even though I think an extension has been granted by the EPA to continue using the Winter blend until early Summer.

Interesting.

Near me, BP $1.33, Kroger $1.33, Shell $1.33, Quiktrip $1.35, Speedway $1.35...
