This is an absurd question, as if any area of the world would be 100% gay friendly. Let's say you find an area that is 99.9% gay friendly. All that means is that you are likely to be ridiculed, shunned, or even hurt 0.1% of the time because of your lifestyle. I have seen numerous news articles about gays being hurt in "gay friendly" areas, even by people who purported to support their life style and even their "friends." Good luck.

Another recommendation for Athens as a place to look into. The life and culture is centered on the University. It is close (within a few hours) of the mountains, lakes, beach, etc. Has dining and a great club scene, and, there are many rural areas, yes, including woods, in the vicinity. There are plenty of properties to be had in the area for under $150,000 going from condo's to townhomes, to singe family homes, to places with acreage, all within 20 minutes to 1/2 hour of downtown.
