Absolutely not true!

I have no idea why you are spreading bad information, but Lottery sales have been record-breaking in the past year.

HOPE may be tweeked a little here and there, but it isn't going anywhere.

You may not be happy here, but to disparage one of the things we do extremely well is a disservice to current and future residents.

That is one thing that definately needs to be addressed.

When the Lottery was new, there was a max family income allowance set at $60,000.

The next year, the Legislature extended it to $100,000.

The following year, the Legislature eliminated ANY income cap.

Maybe we ought to tighten the requirements from a 3.0 average, rather than playing the class game. Is the program there to reward hard work or to subsidize those with a certain income?

Georgia is pretty cool... Love the weather. Beats the rain in the Pacific Northwest, the snow in the North, and the desert in the southwest. Spring is beautiful here.

Visit the stately mansions of Madison, take a boat ride through the Okefenokee Swamp surrounded by giant alligators, view the Marshes of Glen and Christ Church on St. Simons, see the millionaire's homes of Jekyll Island, the red clay of central Georgia, the waterfalls of Rabun County, float on Lake Burton, enjoy the night life of Atlanta, research the history of Savannah, and then tell me you don't like Georgia. It is one of the most beautiful states in the nation full of history, hospitable people, and gorgeous scenery. I see the tendrils of Spanish moss hanging from the oaks of the Golden Isles in my dreams.

Kudos to you, smel. +1.
I would respectfully add an often overlooked part of GA...the West Point/LaGrange/Pine Mountain area of GA is IMO gorgeous and completely unexpected for many. Take a day trip, see downtown Newnan and Pine Mountain, see Callaway Gardens and then move on to the Little White House. Just the drive between CG and the LWH is spectacular.
