We're relocating to Fairburn from Long Island NY in Mid fall and any thoughts or info on this city would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Fairburn and South Fulton have long been ignored by developers, but now the area is exploding. You will see incredible growth and development. At first you might be disappointed that there are not many stores, restaurants and things to do, but that will change quickly. Right now though the closest shopping is in Peachtree City, Tyrone, Newnan, and Union City. I think you will be amazed by the growth.

Default Moving to Fairburn

Thanks for the info tdiddy. I was impressed with the area but my husband and I were a bit concerned about the High School for that area-Creekside High. It looks a bit small and there were so many trailers on the grounds. I understand the growth to the area especially with so many developers building left and right, Would you or anyone else out there have any views on the school? We have a 15 year old daughter who's a B+ average student here in NY and hope her grades won't suffer any more than expected with a relocation and all...

Thanks.

The schools are pretty good, but they might suffer some growing pains with the new influx of students

The Town is small and nice. It's still close to Atlanta though so not too far.
