I can't imagine either state being that great for fashion schools or opportunties in the fashion industry. You should really look at going to FIT in NY, as that's where most of the top folks in the industry go- it's also where most of the top jobs are based.

Tennessee?! I moved here 5 yrs ago and was shopping in the mall. There were square dance dresses on the rack w Jones of New York and Inc. Tennessee can't attract a decent department store and it shows in the indifference to fashion among proud, locked in time, blind, Tennesseans.

BobKovacs is right.Neither is great for fashion. If one had to choose, the edge would definitely go to Atlanta.Mychael Knight of Project Runway,Joyce Simpson, and Anne Barge(internationally renowned wedding dress designer and even Kenneth Cole went to Emory University. You have Savannah College of Art and Design,Clark-Atlanta University and the Art Institute of of Alanta. There are some other with fashion programs but those three immediately come to mind.

Welcome to the Anne Barge Collection of Bridal Gowns

a friend of mine went to some fashion school in ATL, but moved to NY for a job. He's done well with it, so I'd say atlanta must be okay.
