Hello all,

I am seriously considering moving to Hampton Station in Canton, GA. I have heard that there is a Landfill (Pine Bluff Landfill) minutes away. Do any residents from this area know:

- how close the landfill is to this community?
- what kind of waste is stored there?
- is there an odor in this area of town?
- do you think that it could be a major factor as far as moving there?

thanks for all your help!

Default No Oders out here

I am a current resident of Hapton Station. I got on to look around and see what othr people are saying about the community. I bought about a year ago and have never had any odors to date. I also paid around 275k for my home which is now selling for under 200k. The aminities here are great and my kids love the pool and water slides. We got the Springwood, but after seeing the new Driftwood floorplan I wish I had waited. It is a huge ranch plan and I am ust tired of all the stairs. The area is in a great location and we are right down the street from the grocery store and the schools in the area are great. We moved out from the city becasue we did not want to spend a ton of money on priate schools and have been very pleased with the schools. If you have any other questions let me know. Other than wishing I had waited a year as far as price is concerned I am happy with the neaighborhood and the builder has been real good as far as warranty. So no complaints.

Smile Springwood

I have seen your post. After reading nothing but negative things about Beazer, its good to see something postive about Hampton Station. My wife and I love the Springwood model and are considering builiding towards the end of the year. Can you tell me how you like your home? Is it on a basement? Anything you did or did not do that you wish you didn't? How are the neighbors that are there currently, friendly, neighborhood get togethers etc.? Thanks for you time.
