We are an interacial family of 4. We are prior military and are considering moving to the Dallas area. Problem is I was researching and saw alot of talk about racism, the post were all pretty old from 06 or 07 so I wanted some updated info. I am wondering if this is a good area for me to bring our children too. We have no problems here in VA because the military population makes it very diverse. I also read that maybe Villa Rica or Powder Springs might be a better area for us to be. Any information on the area would be very helpful!

thanks very much

My son and DIL (white) live in Dallas in a very diverse neighborhood. No problems to speak of. Dallas is a quiet little area. You would think you were in the country, but anything you need is no more than 10 minutes away.

over here in gordon county which is northeast of dallas i have noticed very open couples...gays, lesbians, races and cultures, full body tattoos and lots of piercings on people. there will be pockets of stupidity and i apologize for those slow individuals, but overall northwest georgia is getting pretty darned diversified. best thing you can do is ride around the areas you are interested in.
