Yes, if we stopped focusing on black vs white, republican vs democrat, christian vs athiest, gay vs straight. The problem is this country is full of bigots who would rather hold us back then progress in to the 21st century. China has its own problems. Too many males. Too many poor people. Too much corruption.

We always lead at innovation. The chinese lead at exploitation and patent infringement.

We need to return the manufacturing base to the US. Im sure a lot of people in the poorer states would welcome the new jobs and 30,000 - 40,000 year paychecks.

I am happy to pay a premium for American made products (if I could find them)

The Chinese just make cheap knock-offs of American (and other) products. We are, and have always been, more innovative. I think we will be for the foreseeable future as well.

Foreign manufacturers bringing jobs to U.S.

Like others have already said, we already do lead in innovation. By a long shot. The Chinese haven't been innovating, they've been making things.
