For the poorest of the poor in 3rd world countries they have these wonderful Int'l Red Cross Clinic/Hospitals to serve the poor. But you don't have to be poor to go to one of these places, as anyone can go there.

When I was traveling, I went to my first one in Guatemala City for a spider bite. Cost me only $3 to see a Doctor, and I was in and out of that place in 45 minutes.

Recently, I went to the Red Cross Hospital in Tijuana, was ushered into the Emergency Room, and was waited upon instantly, and it only cost me $5 for a consultation.

Many are loath to admit it, but the U.S. has finally entered the 3rd world, but where oh where are the Int'l Red Cross Clinics/Hospitals to serve the poorest of the poor? Imagine how this would effect our medical establishment if they were allowed to operate here!

What do you think would be the pro's and con's of allowing these establishments into the U.S.? And with tough resistance from the AMA, would they even allow them here?

There are low cost clinics in the US. They often have a sliding scale for fees.

Find one near you. This site pulled up the one in my town easily.

Find a Free or Charitable Clinic | The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics

And the AMA provides funding for some:

For Charitable Clinics, there was nothing listed for Las Vegas within 10 miles.
