You reap what you sow. The Afrikaaners exploited and oppressed Africans for hundreds of years, and the culture they seek to preserve is based on racism. Spare me the "woe, the poor Afrikaaners" sob story.

Truth is, most of the black people in SA aren't descended from the aboriginal people there.
It's an interesting problem, who gets the land? The original settlers (jeez, circa 500,000BC or so?), the tribes that were present when the Dutch showed up? Boers or English? Black tribes from the north?
The area has an interesting history, and is worth a read before pumping out some sort of kneejerk opinion.

It has in Angola too, but the immigration is pretty much only men who come for work, and they (the portuguese) have no aversion to the local Angolan women. They don't have the segregated culture that South Africans have. I've been to Luanda before (which was a good time) and I've never seen so many interracial couples; every white male had a black partner.
So sure they have a future in Africa, but as long as they're a small minority, they will naturally be absorbed/"decline" in number.
In many cases (Angola), they are "declining" only because they married locals and their descendents are black.
While that has undoubtedly happened on occasion, it hardly accounts for a majority of the white population being reduced to nothing. Instead it is either white flight, or forced exile. One need look no further than Zimbabwe for an example. The lunatic leader Mugabe decided to forcibly take white land and businesses, which leaves the people little choice. Heck the nutcase just mouthed off the other day about not wanting to see any white faces.

lol. I guess it depends on who you ask. I was hoping to more fully define the degree that you think it's OK to savage a population.
In your world, how abusive does a population need to be before it's OK to kill them indiscriminately and do the odd bit of raping and dismemberment to their families? It wasn't that long ago that the Apaches in southern Arizona used to sweep down into Mexico and kill/torture/steal cattle and the like, the townspeople were treated as a sort of prey animal. Would make it sense to send a few vigilantes out to the reservation and hang a few people?
To the people who aren't so quick to judge a people, the history of South Africa is really interesting and is worth a few books worth of reading. It might not change your mind about much of anything, but having a bit of knowledge is certainly better than not.
I'm not so sure it's a good thing for light-skinned people to be living so close to the equator, as the risk for skin cancer is very high in such situations, unless a lot of effort is put in to stay out of the sun. But who wants to live like that - being so limited and unable to do anything outdoors for much of the day?

There was exactly that for the French, Portuguese, and Brits (outside of South Africa). South Africa was a little different because it had full Dominion status, rather than being a colony like the rest of British Africa.
I am not talking about expats as there will always be a few of them around. I refer instead to white citizens of African nations who are descendants of people that have been living in those countries for generations. Their populations have been declining since the beginning of decolonization. I was just wondering what others think.
There are 70 independent nations that might be described as "Sub-Saharan," so as to make anything other than a gross generalization highly unlikely.
Unless there is a genocide (which is not unlikely, quite honestly) there will always be a prescense of Afrikaans people in South Africa. The vast majority of South Africans who leave are of British descent and are of relatively recent ancestry (post world war one). Afrikaans people have a very special connection to Africa having been there for 5 centuries and having developed a unique language and culture. Afrikaners tend to be very religious and have lots of children/marry young, and they basically never marry out of the white race. .
The Afrikaners were their own worst enemy - not mixing with the blacks, virulently opposing black rights, opposing immigration (because they saw other Europeans as being a threat to their culture), and supporting the National Party for decades, They refused to accept so called "Coloureds" (mixed race Afrikaners) as Afrikaners, despite having the same culture and customs. South Africa should have done the exact opposite of what it did and it would be in better shape now.
