In most of the high-profile, white cop shoots black man stories, the black man was engaged in criminal activity and either attacked the police officer, or endangered the officer's life or some bystander's life. And contrary to what you see on TV, it is extremely difficult to shoot the gun out of an armed man's hands. No officer should be expected to risk his life when dealing with an uncooperative felon.
They are not going to tase someone who is pointing a gun. Black lives do matter. But most black people who die by the gun are shot by other black people.

I'm not going to bother rewriting the next post since it said exactly what I was going to say. He took the words out of my "fingers":

I will add that the public and society benefits by order, not anarchy.

I thought most black teens were shot by either white police officers, Zionists, members of temple youth groups or members of the Masonic Lodge or the Elks.

WRONG.

Amadou Diallo did nothing
Abner Louima DID NOTHING
Akai Gurley DID NOTHING
Baez DID NOTHING
Eric Garner DID NOTHING

I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they are trying to be good citizens but bad things do happen and the "players" are generally known to Police.

Why is it that when a young black man gets on the wrong end of a gun, a Cops gun, that young man often has a rap sheet where he has been in trouble with the law before. It seems that petty crimes are a right of passage for many of these kids and the seriousness of those crimes escalate as they get older.

There does seem to be an epidemic of black on black crime and the cure for that starts at home.

People as a whole are getting more angry and lashing out. I don't know if it is the economy or the lack of opportunity or plain laziness but when those desperate people who don't seem to care if they live or die act out it is the Police we call to stop them. Sometimes those aggressors die.
What is the answer?

Not sure who the others are but Garner fought with the police and resisted arrest.

that's fine. Just don't claim you have any authority on Black/White police relations.

Well let's see. Whites who commit similar crimes (often more heinous) are given their six amendment rights. This, despite their long rap sheets.

The man in South Carolina had no rap sheet. He was behind in his child support.

Sean Bell had no rap sheet, he was just trying to marry and have a family

Since when does a rap sheet constitute killing someone? Furthermore if they "had" a rap sheet then let's assume they've did their time in jail for their misdeeds.

Everyone is too quick to shoot these days. Murder is the answer to solve every crime and "defend" ourselves and our neighborhoods.

Black people seem to be a target for cops and the media. Compare how the news broadcast stories of the black men mentioned in this thread to white criminals, like the recent biker shooting in Waco. Nearly 200 people were arrested. The cops only killed four of them and we know they were all armed. Yet a lone, possibly armed black man being chased by 2-3 cops must be gunned down. Doesn't add up.

Massive Texas biker gang shooting gets soft coverage, but we shouldn’t be surprised | theGrio

I heard on NPR radio that over the weekend 56 people were shot in Chicago over the weekend and 12 had died.

Is Chicago a city in America or are we talking the Middle East here??

Where is the outrage by the racial pot stirrers?

Obamas hometown is a war zone.

Black lives do matter like any other life but is there a double standard here when a black guy kills another black guy??

Never mind the small percentage of bad cops Blacks seem to have an open season on each other.
