Ah, this. It's been debated enough in the PoC section for me not to consider it a great debate. None the less, I'll prove you wrong on this.

The big point here is that genitals do not determine one's sex. That's chromosome's your thinking of. There are documented cases of males and females both being born with the wrong genitals or both genitals, and I think even a handful of no genitals at all (or incomplete genitals). So if we are to assume that one's sex determines the bathrooms, then genitals are irrelevant.

And I'll say again, as I do no the PoC forum, does it make sense for a person with breast, in a dress, with long hair, clad in makeup, to use the men's room simply because they haven't had the reassignment surgery? Who is more likely to notice? The men who watch a woman in a dress come in and use the urinal, or the women who see a woman in a dress come in and go into a stall. Only in one of these scenarios is anything noticeable off and interestingly enough, it's the one you are arguing against.

So now, I have no choice but to call your integrity into question. I do not believe you are here worrying about people feeling comfortable in any utilitarian way, as you seem to suggest. Now, the other possibility is that you simply having put enough thought into the issue, which says to me that this threat belongs in the PoC section. The debate section is reserved for thoughtful debate, not spur of the moments ideas brought on by a political article.

But, it is the debate section, so make your case against my points.

You mean like women who use the men's restroom when they really have to go and the lines for the ladies room is too long?

Eh. If the go in do what they need to do and go out why should it matter? But, if we're being honest, that isn't any more likely to happen than it does already.

If you don't have a penis but you have male hormones should you go into a woman's bathroom?
