How would your wife and/daughters even know what the genitalia in the next stall looks like? Assuming they are minding their own business and doing whatever they went in there to do.
A lot of restaurants here now have bathrooms that are used by both. Personally, I hate it when I'm coming out of the restroom and a man is waiting to go in... but that's not what you asked.
If I was in a bathroom stall I don't think I'd notice if the person next to me had a penis or not. Women stand up facing the toilet, not that they're peeing, but they're either flushing or adjusting something. I'd never know.

If pervs can't see or watch anything to fuel their sick minds, then they won't hang around a stinky public bathroom.
It should be easy to correct this problem: All bathrooms stalls need floor to ceiling walls and doors so no one can peek over or under.
What I HATE about mixed gender bathrooms is the dribble of pee on the floor below the front of the toilets from men who can't seem to aim. I don't want that pee on the bottom of my shoes thanks!
Oh, and women! if you don't sit down while you pee, at least wipe the seat off for the next person!
Biggest problem is with those women that are victims of sexual assaults. Those women who never get it out of their system are suffering because they cannot use public toilets anymore. I guess they have to carry buckets from now on and pee behind corners .

That's the result of loss pressure at the end. Generally not an issue with urinals because you are directly over it or it's higher off the ground.
I don't know about anyone else here, but when I use a restroom I just go in, do my business and leave. I don't really hang around and consider the genitalia of the other people there.
