I agree with you that it shouldn't be about "blame".
When I see some group protesting, I want to try to understand what their complaint is. I may agree with them, or disagree with them. But more often I find their complaints have at least some basis for complaint, and it helps me to understand our country better. For example, I don't like the tactics of the group Black Lives Matter, but I like the concept of black lives matter (note that I capitalized the formal group, but not the concept). I heartily disagree with much of the NRA; but they have some good points and I acknowledge those points; and instead of laying down and kicking and screaming, I wonder why we can't find a middle ground. And that's the big problem is this country today -- most people seem to want to have their way 100%. And that's pure selfishness.
Is self preservation of culture values and a way of life "selfishness"? We are not talking about not getting a new iphone here so lets be intellectually honest about it.
What you're saying is exactly what the Confederates said that caused the Civil War. EXACTLY what they said.
The only thing they screwed up was having superior military tech, you don't go off half cocked with crappy equipment. You make sure you have such overwhelming fire power that you can bring the other side to its knees in a short time period. Until such time you just have to pander.
I hope that this is not off-topic and we can have a civil discussion about the recent protests since we saw Trump win the electoral vote. I have one question, who do you blame for them? I have my theory but want to hear others first.
I don't think "blame" is the right word. But clearly they were unhappy voters. The people.
Pretty sure the american revolution was extremely violent, though I think the anti trumpers would be equivalent to the crown sympathizers.
Uh, Trump sits on a golden throne in a golden suite on three floors and acts like he's the king of the USA, so the "crown sympathizers" are more likely very PRO-Trump.

Could you source that (likely copyrighted) image? Curious where it was taken.

UM, and respecting cultures and "ways of life" in this day and age is typically something the left supports and the right denigrates unless they disagree in which case the left denigrates and the right supports.
Your repeated attempts to try to make this racial and\or civil warish are not even really debate points. I mean at some point will you just yell "Hitler" and storm out of the room?
Another question I would like to ask is why I'm seeing all these posts that are political in nature springing up here, in forums including retirement, investing, psychology, sports and many many more.
Would it suggest a collective meltdown or a concerted effort to try to reach out to other forums to try to incite\touch people that (probably wisely) avoid the political forum?
