It's not PC...it's because the attraction is different. The attraction to a pre-pubescent child is different than an attraction to an adult or adolescent and one that is based less on the sex of a child than it would be if the child was an adolescent or adult.
The attraction may be somewhat different, but a male is a male and a female is a female. Purely gay males are never attracted to females of any type at any time, and purely hetero men are never attracted to boys at any time.

"Pedophilia" does not discriminate because it is not heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality. It is its own class.
Your statement is incorrect because "purely gay men" are never attracted to either young boys OR young girls and "purely hetero men" are never attracted to either young girls OR young boys.
