What are you trying to protect your kids from? The facts of life?
As has been already said...it isn't just people with small children in their homes who HATE these ads! It is people who think such trash should be confined to trashy magazines...not on TV. Trash is trash, regardless of where it is. It is so sad that so many minds love trash!

On what basis do you conclude that advertising for some commercially marketed products is trash and some is not? Is the commercial for Sham-wow trash? Is the entire Jewelry Network trash? Give us some hints here. What is trash? Is it the commercial that is trash, or is it the product that is trash?

Any ad that is based on sexual relations is trash, in my opinion! I think you already knew what I was referring to.....you just want to continue stitting the pot!

Excuse me....the year 2009 makes it right????? An obsession on sexual activities is immoral regardless of what year it is. Immorallity is immorality, regardless of what year it is! All who think otherwise are deluding themselves.
There is a place for such stuff, you can buy it at porn shops! That is your choice, my choice is to not be exposed to it.

I dont have kids , but im extremely concerned for others kids and the way very young kids are getting hyper-sexualized ,including, but not limited to , little girls being groomed to be sluts and little boys being groomed to look upon girls as sluts. It all starts with a relentless early indoctrination of sexual stimuli (during thier most innocent stage of life) ... such as TV's constant portrayal of a Mans inability to perform sexually by not being able to have an erection and other garbage that should be taken up with a Doctor instead of it coming across the screen , on billboards, and everywhere else you look. Are you not able to see how this sex saturated society has been detrimental ? People get harmed and killed due to it. Can you care ? Human sexuality is supposed to have some level of sacredness, decency, and privacy to it without being prudish and without being an addict. Dont let the present culture define whats right from wrong for you --- let your moral conscience have effect.
How does an advertisement about helping men with dysfunction equate to an 'obsession' with sex?
Do food/car/medication/electronics ads demonstrate our 'obsession' with those items? And if so, why are those obsessions ok vs your purported 'sexual obsessions'?

People who actually parent their kids instead of letting the tv and media do it might mitigate this horrible epidemic you're so scared of.
The answer isn't to control tv. The answer is to get families to behave like families and actually raise their children instead of letting the media do it.
