Do you see any problem with this, or, is it time young children of 4-8 years old should understand what it means to : 'stop taking Cialis if an erection lasts more than 4 hours' ?

I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it *is* somewhat bothersome to constantly be faced with Viagra or feminine hygiene.
Up to a certain age,my kids did not watch TV by themselves.
I remember being embarrassed by tampon commercials.
Fortunately, that was before the Viagra days.
TV can be so idiotic. It is a way of relaxing, a passive entertainment. Those commercials don't help.
The only way to handle it is to reduce a kid's use of it until he or she understands just how ridiculous it is.

Is there any other word, besides 'rediculous', that would help express your feelings on the issue ? What would you say to free speech laws which protect the Advertiser doing this during family TV time ? Thanks for your insight.

You have the choice to turn off the television, or to restrict your children's viewing to children's shows that don't advertise adult products.

They come on News programs...for heavens sake! Are parents of young children supposed to avoid listening to the news while the children are in the room?

I always thought it was hilarious when they made such a big deal about the wardrobe malfunction on the super bowl, and a few minutes later, little girls on their daddy's laps were saying "Daddy, what's erectile dysfunction"? (Correct answer: "Ask your mother".)

By the way, just for the record. If you are considering using an ED drug, please see your ophthalmologist first and tell him, and have him check your cup to disk ratio. If your ratio is too low, you are at very high risk of going permanently blind from Ischemic Optic Neuropathy if you use one of these drugs. There has been a huge increase in this disease since the use of Viagra-type drugs. The warning on the TV ad to see your doctor if you experience sudden loss of vision is way too late---nothing can be done.

For All : Do you believe it would be more courteous and considerate for them to advertise adult products sayyyy....after 9 pm till 7 a.m. ? If you as a Parent do your best to not let your kids see such tv commercials, what about when they go to play and watch TV at their friends house and youre not with them ? Arent we sexualizing our young children way too early with such ads on the TV/radio/billboards ? I understand one Senator is trying hard for change to not allow these types of tv ads on during early evening hours. Where should the line be drawn ?

I can see the humor in that, but, I can also see the downside to the issue ; is it appropriate and timely to have to explain to a 5 year old daughter what erectile dysfunction is and how Cialis helps matters in the bedroom ? When i was 4 or 5, I dont think i had even discovered that i had a private part yet .
