I think we, Americans are living in times of great uncertainty. What anymore in the land of the brave and the home of the free is secure. There is a big question mark over our economy, political system, value system, justice system and every other system. In such an environment anxiety can taint perspectives. The notion of barring a whole group of people from a country is evidence of that. I can understand why Americans want to be cautious because we live under constant threat both domestic and foreign. However, we always rise above our fears and find the right path.
I'm afraid that we may face something on par with The Great Depression and WWII and will not be able to face it, stand up to it and overcome it. We as a nation don't have the stomach, nerves or patience for something on that level.
Freedom for security.
Thats what the american gov is doing.
But you have to realize that war on terror is a fraud, 911 was an inside job, CIA was involved.
This is a freemason conspiracy to bring a new world order.A satanic dictatorship where everyone will be chiped and controlled by the gov.

Americans have been taught to be afraid by television news (if it bleeds, it leads) and drama (all of the CSI shows). The reason is simple. "Fear is the Mind Killer" and frightened people can be convinced to give up money and liberty to feel secure.
Huddled sheep are easier to lead than independent bears.

"there is nothing to Fear, but Fear itself"--we will all be just fine. Just take each day as it comes, and do your best. One day we will look back, as my folks did, and go, "It was bad, but we made it through just fine, and are much stronger, and more confident for the experience".---we often learn more from losing a battle, than by winning one.
GregW - You forgot that fear is also taught and promoted by government - we were all going to be bankrupt without TARP, and the swine flu is going to kill 1/4 of the high risk population without the government mandated vaccine (well until they botched the vaccine distribution - now we don't hear about swine flu). And then there's health scare....
Fear tactics are often used to contol the weak minded. ---Americans have proved more than once that they have what it takes to get the job done. we just get lazy sometimes, and sit back and enjoy life.--But should the need arise, the world fully knows what we are capable of. and they want no part of it. We still speak softly, but we still also have one big bad stick.

Unfortunately, this POTUS has no big sticks....in any location.

Have no Fear, there will be plenty of back up, should the need arise. People are not asleep, as it may appear, just being cautious. We have learned to believe little of what we are told.
