I haven't seen them walk calmly across the street where I live. I do have to drive along a five lane road to get to my university, and nearly daily I see at least one black person RUN across the middle of street right through traffic. I have almost hit a few of them over the years so you really have to keep an eye out. There are pedestrian crossways, and I am sure most of the people living in the neighborhood use them, but those few that decide to jet on across the street wherever they want really stick out.

they don't look when they drive or cross streets or parking lots here... they're privileged and you better watch for them, look at their facial expressions when they're doing it

my thoughts are, even if a pedestrian has the right of way, if you get hit it won't matter who is right. last nite i drove out of the post office parking lot and a black lady was slowly j walking holding a baby. i have seen white people do this, but not nearly as often.

One does not want to racially generalize.
However when one adds geographic location, location within certain parts of the city, and mentality, it may be applicable in some instances.
I know... saying anything starting with "black people" is not PC. But it's been several months since I started observing this...so I figured it's cultural to some degree, probably geographical too.

No I haven't, but I have noticed that black women seem to talk on the phone a lot, and Indian women are short waisted because when they drive you can't see their head over the steering wheel.

Yeah, it's cultural. We are raised to ignore the "stop". Puleeze, give me a break. They do it, because they want to.

Here, white folks open their car doors without looking for traffic. They never look!! I've almost hit many a door. And, you know what. They give me a funky look every time. Like, I wish you would hit my door.

But, I find this thread funny. The black folks lookin at ALL of yall and saying kiss my black azz. Too too funny!!!

Some people do create and fuel stereotypes about their own people to some extent with their behavior.
In our city the thing is that blacks are the main criminals because they are always seen on the news and by word of mouth quite a few people have had issues with being the victims of my people.

Which pretty much gets those of us who arent practicing that behavior still seen as threats.
Its rather funny and sad at the same time.
