Tell us what those incentive structures are, and why any country needs a foreign legion. Make your case.
The purpose of the French Foreign Legion was to remove disruptive elements from society. The Legion was primarily used to protect and expand the French colonial empire during the 19th century (according to Wiki).
If America has declined to a point at which we need to remove disruptive elements, a mere foreign legion would probably not solve our underlying problems. I wish we had no colonial empire to protect and expand.
