marmac, the problem there in Minn. was the inspectors. They weren't doing their job.

I grew up on raw milk. My grandfather had 6 cows. Sold milk to tourists that stayed at the lake resort near by. There no milk as good as fresh milk still warm from the cow.
After we moved to the suburbs there was a farmer about a mile away. We took our gallon container and bought from him. He dipped it out of a cooling tank. Never got sick.

I have to wonder where all this e-coli is coming from these days. It seems to be everywhere. Bio warfare?

???????????

The inspectors were doing their job !

He had his permit pulled and could no longer sell milk to any processor.

The gullible raw milk advocates came out to his farm to buy that rejected milk and brag how nutritous and healthy it was.

1 to 1 1/2% of all food that comes into the US is inspected. yet it is illegal for me to sell eggs from my hen house unless I am USDA approved. There are bills ready to be approved that will regulate almost everything that is grown by farmers! We know what cigarettes do, yet they are not illegal. They are highly taxed. If it is so political, why doesn't the government tax raw milk?
Most peole I know sell raw milk for pet food, just like my eggs.

-----Most people I know sell raw milk as pet food........

So if any kids get sick because of the raw milk, can the parents be charged for child neglect and endangerment for buying and feeding..pet food.. to their kids ?

I certainly would hope so !

Probably the only way gullible people will learn.

If my kid gets sick cause some other kid goes to school sick, can the gov't be charged for child neglect and endangerment? If my kid doesn't wash his hands and gets sick, my fault? See my point. People will get sick, it is their choice of what to eat and drink, if not then eating could become a crime?

Just a different view.
