They used satellite data to show that land around newly constructed wind farms warmed more than next-door areas.
The result - published in the journal Nature Climate Change - confirms an earlier, smaller study from 2010.
The conclusion is wrong. It has nothing to do with Global temperature. Fox is soooooo stupid. Next they will report it's cooler under solar arrays. Duh.

Yup, everyone is wrong and you are right
Fox reports what scientists studies indicate, you know, like other studies such as global warming and climate change studies that MSNBC/FOX/ABC/BBC and a whole host of other media outlets report.... So they are all wrong when they report on scientific studies... But DCforever knows <drumroll> THE TRUTH <blare of trumpets> Does he/she report his/her findings in a scientific journal? NOPE, he/she posts his/her personal opinion in an Internet green living forum......
Maybe you're right, what accredited FACTS from REPUTABLE sources or your personal scientific investigation(s) do you have that says otherwise?
I have posted 2 other sources on this information (reference post #4), you on the other hand have posted nothing but your personal opinion which can only be based on ignorance since you post no scientific evidence to support it....
In fact here's other articles on this subject, you will note one is from NASA, you know, those total BS guys who don't have a clue what they are talking about, right?
The scientists didn't conclude that wind turbines caused global warming. The "scientists" discovered what all citrus farmers have always known. Cold air settles at nights. That no Noble level discovery.

Obviously you have not read one single article that has been posted...
So if what you say is true why are you not saying the scientists can't get anything right?
Overall, the warming effect reported in this study is local and is small compared to the strong background year-to-year land surface temperature changes.
So, yes, the mild turbulence from large wind turbines can affect the local microclimate by mixing the cooler nighttime surface air with slightly warmer air from higher up (and conversely cooling down the warmer air higher up with the cooler surface air). In theory, this may increase the soil surface temperatures because it doesn't cool down as much at night since the mixed air is warmer. I don't see how this is a major concern other than having a small effect on immediate local weather.

The estimated warming trend only applies to the study region and to the study period, and thus should not be extrapolated linearly into other regions or over longer periods.
The LST increases may be slightly impacted by the air turbulence, but the majority of rise over time can also be attributable to generalized warming trends with the turbines only having a marginal additional influence...

The entire region saw a rise, but it was more pronounced around wind farms.
