Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....snooze r.

Why wasn't Wachovia prosecuted? Why doesn't R'money pay taxes?

Hmmm...same idea that has Michael Taylor in charge of the FDA? In America it is how much money one has. The too big to fail, too big to prosecute too big to stand up to.

Wonder why 90% of the world has demanded GMO labeling and just as many are rejecting GMO produce?

I specifically show you that your tainted media outlets lied and misquoted the source and you try to deflect and change the subject, typical....

Not only that but as usual when you have nothing intelligent to post you resort to name calling....

LMAO.....

No accredited sources to your wild fantasy statement, no explanation on why GM crop planting is increasing year by year, just blind hollow fanatical rantings.....

Quote:
Global Biotech/GM Crop Plantings Increase 100-fold from 1996
Developing Countries, Including New Adopters Sudan and Cuba, Now Dominate Use of the Technology

MANILA, Philippines (Feb. 20, 2013) — For the first time since the introduction of biotech/GM crops almost two decades ago, developing countries have grown more hectares of biotech crops than industrialized countries, contributing to food security and further alleviating poverty in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions.

Globally, farmers grew a record 170.3 million hectares of biotech crops in 2012, up 6 percent, or 10.3 million hectares more than in 2011, boosting farmers’ income worldwide due to enhanced productivity and efficiency gains.

Do you notice zthatz that every time you post wild statements I ask you to supply accredited facts to back them up and you never do yet I rebut every one of your ludicrous posts with substantiated facts and sources?

And besides that I post for you with accredited sources that what you read and the sources you post lie, misquote, take out of context and are significantly biased.....

So continue on, this is a fascinating thread for me on keeping the facts straight...

Lets look at the proven benefits of GM crops shall we?

~ Improved shelf life

~ Improved nutrition

~ Stress resistance

~ Herbicide resistance

~ Pathogen resistance – insects or viruses

~ Production of biofuels

Production of useful by-products

~ Drugs

~ Materials

~ Bioremediation

Genetically modified crops - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And what does the anti-technology anti-GM crop gaggle have as far as accredited facts go against GM crops?

~ studies suggest (after feeding cancer-prone rats 10,000% more GM food in a few months than the average consumer would ingest in a lifetime)

~ people think (well, we see how people think and what they base their facts on)

~ needs more studies (after 60 years of planting, consumption and studies)

REsistant to insects? Bt COTTON is an EPIC FAIL since it is being devestated by a worm.

Improved shelf life? Speaks 4 itself huh?> Store bought EMBALMING?

HEMP is a better and more efficent BIO FUEL.

Herbicide resiatnt? TO ROUND UP..but everything else around it is killed via ROUND UP contamination.

As I said earlier:

No accredited sources to your wild fantasy statements, no explanation on why GM crop planting is increasing year by year, just blind hollow fanatical rantings.....

Carry on, once again you have proved just how ludicrous your position is.......

BTW, still waiting on an answer (Post #464)

Still no answers, just more propaganda....

Reason you can't answer is you got caught in another one of your lies?

Face it zthatz, the cold hard accredited FACTS show GM crop plantings increasing worldwide and less and less people are listening to the lies, misinformation, BS and propaganda the anti-technology anti-GM gaggle spew forth.....

I'll bet a dime to a dollar that picture you posted is the wallpaper on your computer......

FACTS instead of propaganda But why worry about facts when a phobia of technology overrides them, right?

Genetically modified crops: the fastest adopted crop technology in the history of modern agriculture

Quote:
There has been a steady increase in the land area planted to GM crops. The extensive data presented in Global Status of Commercialized Biotech/ GM crops: 2011 include the fact that GM crops were first planted in the United States in 1996 on an area of 1.7 million hectares. In 2011 GM crops were planted to 160 million hectares in 29 countries, of which 19 are developing countries. This means that GM/Biotech crops are the fastest adopted crop technology in the history of modern agriculture.
Interesting point(s) in this article:

Quote:
James cites a study which features the benefits accrued from the planting of GM crops. The value of increased crop production from planting GM/Biotech Crops between 1996 and 2010 was estimated at US $78 billion.

~ These plantings effected savings of 443,000,000 kg of pesticides, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability.

~~ In 2010 alone, GM/Biotech crops helped reduce CO2 emissions by 19 billion kg (equivalent to taking approximately nine million cars off the road).

~~~ They helped conserve biodiversity by saving 91 million hectares of fragile lands from opening up for agriculture.
~~~~ In addition, they helped alleviate poverty by increasing incomes for 15 million small farmers who are among the poorest in the world.

Can't wait for the next bit of misinformation and lies from you zthatz....... And hopefully your next post will answer my question:

Accredited sources for this lie? (and a reminder, a phobics anti-GM blog is not considered an accredited source).....

Quote:
Wonder why 90% of the world has demanded GMO labeling and just as many are rejecting GMO produce?
There are 7.074 billion people in the world right now and 90% of them want GMO labeling and are rejecting GMO produce?

I can't wait to read the accredited study that came up with these statistics... It's funny because I nor anyone I know received a telephone call, received in the mail or posted in this thread anything to do with a questionnaire on this....

Lie on McDuff.........

And?

This micro blog perfectly showcases the FUD the anti-GMO gaggle expouses and does not indicate there are any any negative health side-effects of these oranges...

The anti-GMO gaggle seems to have moved on the guilt by negative association...

The statement in the article:

Quote:
In this PDF presentation obtained by Food Nation Radio Network, read about genetically modified oranges.
Is a bald-faced lie, it contains NOTHING on frogs and oranges,,

If you click on the embedded URL (which I bolded green) it brings one to a Facebook page displaying this:

But since zthatz never actually reads any of the articles he/she/it posts he/she/it can be forgiven....

NFN, when scientists developed Penicillin from molds did they first ask the people?..... NO

In 1953 did ames Watson and Francis Crick ask the public if it was OK to experiment to discover the three-dimensional double helix structure of DNA?....NO

In 1973 did Herbert Boyer and Stanley Cohen ask the public so they could perform research to create the first successful recombinant DNA organism?...NO

In 1980 Did the Supreme Court ask the people if it was OK for the U.S. Supreme Court in Diamond v. Chakrabarty to rule that genetically altered life forms can be patented. The decision allows the Exxon Oil Company to patent an oil-eating microorganism?...NO

In 1982 did The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ask the public before it approved the first genetically engineered drug, Genentech's Humulin, a form of human insulin produced by bacteria. This is the first consumer product developed through modern bioengineering?...NO

In 1986 was the public in Belgium asked before the first field tests of genetically engineered plants (tobacco) were conducted in Belgium?....NO

In 1987 the first field tests of genetically engineered crops (tobacco and tomato) are conducted in the United States. Was the public asked first?...NO

And the list goes on..... But now we have due to their extreme phobia over anti-GMO crops the anti-GMO gaggle quaking in fear because their lies and propaganda don't wash anymore....
