Timelapse: Landsat Satellite Images of Climate Change, via Google Earth Engine

These images show quite clearly the impact that we continue to have on the land. Very interesting.

Interesting especially the one showing the Columbia Glacier growing...

Another interesting web site that has time lapse images of the South Pole is:

Polar Sea Ice Cap and Snow - Cryosphere Today

Of course if one is a dyed-in-the-wool global warming supporter I guess they don't like to see anything posted other than positive gw information from the North Pole, the increase of ice these last couple of decades on the South Pole doesn't count...

BTW CCT, the naming conventions were changed a few years ago from global warming to climate change which more accurately reflects what is occurring on Earth. If you don't mind which of those satellite time-lapse videos shows global warming is a fact?

~ Dubai?
~ Columbia Glacier?
~ The Amazon?
~ Las Vegas?

The climate is changing but the jury is out whether this is nothing more than a millennial occurrence of good 'ol Mother Earth or mean 'ol nasty humans are causing it...

People often think climate change is / will be *the* major ecological disaster. I believe what's even worse is the global destruction and fragmentation of habitat/biodiversity. This website shows very well the reach of human impacts.

Interesting sight

The most concern i have is the obliteration of the amazon rain forest, and rainforest every else. That kind of stuff creeps me out more then climate change.
