You can't really buy any electronics without being somewhat dirty. The key, as a consumer, is to not be part of the crowd that buys every new product. Hold them for a while, repurpose old devices or if you cannot, recycle them. They're all dirty. Apple's record is so-so, but could improve immensely. But it's not like Samsung, Toshiba, Microsoft, etc. are any greener.
