I think they will come down as the industry ramps up.

A recent story from Austin, Texas reported that the City of Austin Utilities just signed a 25 year contract to buy solar energy at a bit less than 5 cents per kWh, and there were more than 30 companies that submitted bids at similar rates and with similar terms. The more mainstream this becomes, the cheaper it will get.

Sunlight is one form of energy; electricity is another. Solar panels do collect sunlight energy but they don't attract it. It is coming at us every day, free of charge. Good thing, too, because most life forms depend on it.

Solar panels don't generate heat. They generate electricity.

Solar panels do absorb heat from the sun, you did get the "generate electricity" part right.
