You know those plastic bubble packs that have foil on the back that tablets come in? LOL Wish I knew what they were called.

Can I throw these in the recycling bin without separating the foil from the plastic bubbles?

Normally, if the package is not marked regarding it's content, you can't recycle it. Certain plastics CAN"T be mixed. It is a huge risk to add something that could potentially ruin an entire batch of recycled product. It is the same reason that you have to remove the tops from plastic bottles, because the top isn't labeled and it could be a different type of plastic.

You can't recycle anything that has two types of materials, that included any item that is foil-lined. Recycle facilities will not recycle anything that doesn't have a number on it either.

What about planters peanut cans? They're metal, but aren't marked with a recycling triangle.

They're metal that covers it!

Metal is EZ to recycle
grind it up,
first sort via magnet (Non-ferrous)
then sort by specific gravity,

Smelter burns off any paints, adhesives, and foil.
Lighter alloys rise to the top of the pot and get skimmed off.

stick with metal when possible

Plastic cars (dashes / interior / trim) are tough to renovate.
