Good for them The US needs all the help we can get with our electric infrastructure. As it is we already have black outs and brown outs each summer. Now add in the electric cars they are trying to sell. We also have bigger houses with so much electric usage and waste. We would never be able to charge everything the way it is now.

Black outs and brown outs must be a local/power company problem. When hurricane Irma went through last year, our lights blinked twice and then stayed on.

There is something about leftist causes that have to be forced down people's throats. All for the "greater good", of course.

Really? And people are too dumb to recognize that, so the government shoves it down their throats.

You may well be. The important aspect is to get builders to design in the systems. Standardization, volume purchases, and increased accumulated volume should give us even lower cost than we have today.

If I want to build a house on a shaded lot will I be required to cut the trees down to accommodate the panels or will I be able to keep my trees but still have to pay for something I can't fully utilize?

Brown outs are controlled and usually put in place to keep a blackout from happening. During hurricanes just count yourself as one of the lucky ones when you have power.
