I love them and I hope they'll expand the line with a mid-sized SUV, maybe a 2 or 4 seater convertible.....they seem to be a near-perfect car except for those of us who need a bit more room (I used every bit of my Pilot today at the plant nursery ).

I heard on the local news a few nights ago that the Toyota dealerships in my area have sold out of Prius' and now they have a long waiting list.

It's really too bad that Toyota no longer makes an electric RAV-4. And it's such a shame that they only leased them, then refused to sell them after they came off the lease and crushed most of them.

The '92-'95 Honda Civic VX hatchbacks got 39 City and 50 Highway. I'd like to find one of those cars in good shape! And they'd be a fraction of the price of a Prius. Another good car (but I love those old Civic hatchbacks more) would be a Honda Insight... 60 City and 66 Highway!!! Go Honda!!!

Is anyone familiar with the Scion? Is is a gas saving car with good mileage? Saw one at a shopping center few days ago and really stood out, very cute and modern looking.

There are two Scions on the CNN list. They get in the low 30's for gas mileage.

Keep in mind what model year cars that CNN list was referring to. The earlier Scions were more fuel efficient. Probably due to the new ones having a heavier curb weight. And because they are a Toyota product, don't be afraid of buying an older used one for the better gas mileage.

Also, the way you drive will affect your fuel efficiency. Improper tire pressures, excessive accelerating will all affect how many miles you get on your tanks of gas.
