Chile back in June, 3 months ago, opened in the Northern part of the Atacama Desert the very first Solar Plant in Latin America, second largest in the World...The day they went live they where on the Electric Grid for the Country already supplying a city of approximately 380,000 homes with clean electricity, plans are that more improvements are coming and Chile wants to be at 25% usage of more CLEAN Energy by 2025, something definetely possible for the Nation that finished this one ahead of schedule.

BTW...The Project is known as ~Cerro Dominador~ and Youtube and the Internet have lots of info on this.
