I would like to think using Cross and the like pens is better than the cheap Stiks. I mean, it is metal so it ought to be recyclable and maybe even "refuelable"......but are they? Does an infrastructure exist to reuse them?

You can buy Cross pen refills easily at Staples. Was that your question? Use my Dad's silver one from 1972.

My point is that I am using the refills because I believe that ink filled metal tube is recyciable if not reloadable (with ink). Is it? Where does one send the refills when they are out of ink as oppose to tossing them in the trash can?
