OMG....all that Global Warming going on...pass the suntan lotion...
I thought that this cold front had more to do with Bret Favre trying to sign with the Packers' arch-enemy (Minnesota Vikings) than with climate change.

It's funny, I've just spoken to a couple from the northernmost town in Norway and asked them about the summer weather up there. They said the summers have been colder, but the winters have warmer the last several years. Mostly what they get now is nothing but rainfall instead of any kind of normal snowfall.

The kool thing is that these people are'nt even political, just regular folks in the fishing industry which also appears to have changed radically. Neither of them care much for any left or right wing propagandizing of this subject one way or another. Just regular folks giving their personal observations.

I thought maybe it had to do with the Vikings actually winning the Super Bowl - because you know THAT day will put an end to all Global Warming, if ya know what I mean!

Hahahaha....you must be another frustrated Vikings fan too, eh?

Forget the Eagles. Hell freezes over when the Vikings win the Super Bowl! And Al Gore will begin to campaign against Global Freezing.

There only real shot was when they should have beaten Atlanta and played Denver in the SuperBowl.

Beyond that I can't think of a more dominant season in their history.

Must be all those increased mosquito spawnings in all those 10,000 lakes. Must be the warming thing.

Put on a white shirt, and stand in 110 desert heat. Put on a black shirt in the same conditions. See which is more comfortable. We have a white roof, and it is far cooler in summer than it was when we had a black roof.

Better yet, I have R-38 insulation in my attic.

And, again, unless your R-38 blanket is above the rafters, then you aren't insulating your attic at all, just the conditioned space below.

The idea of white roofs and staple-up reflective coatings and attic fans is keeping the attic space cooler so there is less of a temperature gradient for the R38 to work against.

That's pretty much the point.

And the fact that we heat and cool our house for less than half what people with half the square footage we have spend, is evidence that I'm doing it right.
