Hmmm .... what if the drain clogs and you've just taken the piddle of all standards? Would it be soothing for the tootsies?

Folklore is that standing in pee cures athletes foot. I imagine the threat of it could cure other ailments as well.

Maybe this explains why guys tend to splatter when peeing. Could it be an unconscious attempt to cure all manner of maladies affecting the lower third of their bodies?

Better yet, every man needs a place where he can pee in the backyard with out his neighbors seeing him. Don't lecture..... dogs, cows, animals do it so why can't a guy ?

That is truly saving water.

I don't think it's for getting a charge out of. It's instinctive, males are hardwired to mark their territory !
Or maybe it's because women are always hogging the bathroom.
