Need rental house info in Greensboro (safe neighborhood, safe, to move)

I'm starting a new job in downtown Greensboro at the beginning of August, and I need to move (like now! ) into a rental house that is close (15 - 20 min commute preferred), in a safe neighborhood, 1500 - 1800 sq feet that allows pets (2 small indoor dogs). My budget limit is $1,200.

Any suggestions or pointers? I've been scouring the property management sites, but the ones that fit my needs are either already taken, not available until after I need to be there or don't allow pets.

I'm wary of Craig's List because you just never know who you're dealing with.

I know advertising isn't allowed here, but any help would be appreciated. Time is running out for me to relocate and I'm getting worried.
